While in Melbourne, Australia, there was a day where I didn't have any concrete plans so i headed into the city by myself. I ventured to The Block Arcade, a beautiful 19th century shopping arcade filled with shops, cafes and a popular tea room with the most delectable looking cakes and pastries lining the window. I leisurely perused the arcade and enjoyed taking in the gorgeous architecture, with its mosaic-tile floors, glass canopy and carved stone. I only wish I had tried one of the mouth-watering cakes at Hopetoun Tea Rooms, but salivating at these pictures will have to suffice until my next trip.
This bakery would have been paradise for my crazy sweet tooth! And what a beautiful shopping center! xo
