Homemade Strawberry Jam

I haven’t had strawberry jam since I was a kid and I forgot how good it is simply slathered on a piece of toast. With the abundance of strawberries we got when we went strawberry picking recently, we decided this jam would be the perfect way to make use of this sweet summer fruit. It's surprisingly simple to make and has a thick, velvety consistency that is fresher and more insanely sweet than the store bought kinds. I can't wait to make more with other fruits in season.
